Made by hand. Approved by five.
Five Dogs Woodworks is a small California studio where wood, resin, and a great deal of patience become pieces that exist exactly once.
Every piece here begins as raw wood on a workbench. A live edge slab. A blank of maple or walnut. A pour of resin mixed by eye until the color is right. We shape, sand, and finish everything ourselves, in small numbers, so no two pieces are ever quite alike.
Some become wine stoppers and serving boards. Some become tables that quietly anchor a room. All of them are made the slow way, to be used often and kept for a long time.
Made once
One of a kind by nature. When a piece finds its home, it is never repeated, only reimagined.
Made by hand
Cut, poured, sanded, and finished in our own studio. If it does not pass our hands, it does not leave the shop.
Made to keep
Real wood and real weight, finished to live on counters and tables, not in cabinets.
The five
The name is not a metaphor.
There really are five, and most of them arrived as rescues. We never set out to have a crew this size. Life kept bringing them to our door, and we kept saying yes. Now they are at our feet for every pour and every sanding pass, and nothing leaves this shop without their approval.

Rescue is close to our hearts. If you are part of a rescue or shelter and would like to collaborate on a fundraiser piece, an auction donation, or an idea we have not thought of yet, please reach out. We will always make time for the dogs.

We work in person with wineries, tasting rooms, hotels, restaurants, boutiques, and event planners, and we love building pieces around a brand: your colors, your character, your guests. This is the part of our work we enjoy most, sitting down together and designing something your visitors will actually take home and keep.
